The photo above was taken looking into the site from the tramway/car park side. It shows one of the rollers on site flattening the newly raised land comprised of infill material brought onto the site via the pipeline.
In the last couple of days, the level of the Tesco side of the site must have been raised by about a metre, which is a scary thought, just thinking how quickly the work is progressing on site. In the photo above, you can see the new level of the regeneration site behind the trees, running through the middle of the photo from left to right. You can also make out the new level by looking at the roller in the background in the centre of the photo.
The photo above is looking onto the Tesco area from the south, close to Harbor road. Unlike before, the lagoons are becoming less and less visible as the land across the site is raised with the infill material.
This is one of the countless amount of dumper trucks unloading infill material onto different parts of the site ready to be rolled down and flattened.
The photo above was taken looking through a lens-size gap in the south western gate of the regeneration site. This is a view that I have photographed at different stages during the project, and is changing all of the time. If the plans drawn out are correct, this view will eventually be of the south side of the Tesco car park along with the Harbor road pedestrian entrance to the store.
